Valerie is over the moon to be performing In the
ROBIN’s NEST Series!!!!!
Valerie Lemon has performed across the United States as a concert soloist for Award-winning composer Marvin Hamlisch. Their 12-year association resulted in Mr. Hamlisch writing a solo act for her that has been performed around the globe.
Recently she has been performing with the Adrian Symphony for a tribute honoring Marvin Hamlisch conducted my Maestro Ernie Green and sharing the stage with her pal Rocky Paterra. she has been doing several cabaret and gala shows in Annapolis Maryland for ”Live Arts Maryland.”
Valerie collaborated with Eric Michael Gillett on her tribute show to Marvin, Valerie Lemon Sings Music by Marvin Hamlisch which debuted at the Metropolitan Room November 2008 to wonderful reviews.
On of Valerie appeared at Feinstein’s to audience! She returned there with Music by Marvin Hamlisch on October 2010 with Marvin as her “Special Guest”.
Valerie is a six-year veteran of The Mabel Mercer Cabaret Convention and performed last October 2015, where the evening honored Marvin Hamlisch and Vernon Duke.She will be appearing in Convention this fall
Valerie’s special love for cabaret and live performing has resulted in two cabaret shows; The Way of the Heart, which is a more personal account her life and The Jane Froman Song Book which celebrates the life and music of Jane Froman, the legendary singer of the Thirties, and Fifties. On November 10, Valerie performed the centennial celebration of Jane Froman’s life in Jane’s home state of Missouri at Columbia College’s Launer Auditorium. She will be returning to Columbia in 2016 for another show about Jane and a master class on cabaret.

In 2013 and 2014 Valerie appeared in many tributes honoring her friend and mentor Marvin Hamlisch. Recently she was very honored to have spoken about Marvin in the PBS American Masters Special that aired on December 2013, Marvin Hamlisch, What He Did For Love. She is also so incredibly proud to be a part of Len Prince’s Exhibit and Book “MARVIN HAMLISCH” which opened this summer in Columbus.
Valerie was asked by Marvin’s wife Terre Blair Hamlisch to become an ambassador to schools in the area to present and teach children about Marvin’s Book, Marvin Makes Music.
In March Valerie was seen in the AMANDA MCBROOM PROJECT at The Laurie Beechman directed and conceived by Eric Michael Gillett.
Valerie has also appeared on the stage in past years in Colette, starring Diana Rigg, The Student Prince, Closer Than Ever, Blue Window, A Dance For Rylie just to mention a few.
Valerie’s other loves are her husband Bob, her daughter Marianne, who is in her last year in The Juilliard School’s Masters Program for Drama, and her rescued black cats: Moose, and Petey.
